Privacy Policy

This is written in plain language on purpose. We collect very little, we do not sell anything, and if a sentence here is unclear, email info@idea-out.com and we will explain it.

1. Who we are

Idea Out Studio is an independent game studio based in Bandung, Indonesia. We are the party responsible for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@idea-out.com.

2. What this policy covers

It covers the website at idea-out.com and the games and applications published by Idea Out Studio that offer signing in with a Google Account.

It does not cover other companies' services. Our games are also listed on itch.io, and our Android builds are distributed through Google Play. Those platforms collect their own information under their own policies, which we do not control.

3. What we collect

3.1 When you sign in with Google

We ask for the smallest set of permissions that lets us recognise you across sessions and devices. These are the only Google permissions we request:

• openid, which gives us a stable identifier for your Google Account so we can tell your account apart from anyone else's.
• userinfo.profile, which gives us your basic public profile: your name and your profile picture.
• userinfo.email, which gives us the email address on your Google Account.

We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, or any other Google service.

3.2 When you contact us

If you email us or use the form on our contact page, we receive whatever you write, along with your name and email address, so that we can reply.

3.3 When you visit this website

This website is a set of static pages served through Cloudflare. As with any website, our host records standard request information such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. We use this only to keep the site running and to understand roughly how much traffic it gets. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Google user data and Limited Use

The information we receive from Google, described in section 3.1, is used only to create and run your account: to sign you in, to keep your progress attached to the right account, and to contact you about the service if we need to.

You can review or withdraw the access you have granted us at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Withdrawing access stops any further sharing from Google to us. It does not by itself delete the information we already hold; for that, see section 9.

5. How we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To attach your saved progress and settings to your account rather than to one device.
• To answer the messages you send us.
• To contact you about something important to the service, such as an account problem or a change to these terms.
• To keep the service working, to investigate faults, and to prevent abuse.

6. What we do not do

• We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.
• We do not use it to serve you advertising, and we do not hand it to advertising networks or data brokers.
• We do not use it to build a profile of you for any purpose other than running your account.
• We do not let humans read your data except where you have asked us to, where it is needed to fix a fault you reported, where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident.
• We do not use it to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models.

7. Who else sees it

We share as little as possible, and only with providers that make the service work:

• Google, as the provider of the sign-in you chose to use.
• Cloudflare, which hosts and serves this website.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the rights or safety of our players, our team, or the public. If Idea Out Studio is ever sold or merged, account information may transfer with the business; we will say so on this page before that takes effect.

If we later add another provider that handles your information, we will update this section and the date at the top of this page.

8. How long we keep it

We keep account information for as long as the account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the information described in section 3.1 within 30 days, except where we are required to keep something longer by law. Emails you send us are kept for as long as they are useful for support, and then deleted.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information about you we hold.
• Send you a copy of it.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your account and the information attached to it.

Email info@idea-out.com from the address on your account and say which of the above you want. We answer within 30 days. There is no charge, and we will not ask you why.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@idea-out.com and we will delete it.

11. Security

The strongest protection we can offer is to hold very little in the first place, which is why the list in section 3.1 is as short as it is. Beyond that, data in transit is encrypted, access to account data is limited to the people on our team who need it, and we use Google's sign-in rather than storing passwords ourselves, so there is no password of yours for us to lose.

No service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authority as quickly as we can.

12. Where data is processed

Idea Out Studio operates from Indonesia. Our providers operate globally, so your information may be stored or processed on servers outside your country, including inside and outside Indonesia.

13. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
